Obituary for Mark "Scratch" T. Scherr

“Scratch” Mark Scherr, age 66, found peace on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 20, 1952 in Hartford. Mark enjoyed fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. He loved to shoot pool and watch his friends and family at the ballpark. Mark also enjoyed following his nephew, Adam’s wrestling career.

Mark is survived by his siblings, Rick (Sarah) Scherr, Nancy (Dave) Elding, Robert (Carlene) Scherr and Dale (Mary) Scherr; sister-in-law, Marlene Scherr. Mark is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mark is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley; brother, “Butch” Melvin and wife, Julie (nee Klein).

The family has arranged a Memorial Mass to be held at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 264 W. State Street, Hartford on Sunday, August 5 at 4:00 PM with Fr. David LaPlante presiding. Visitation for family and friends from 2:00 PM until time of Mass.
