Obituary for Quirin R. Klink

Quirin R. Klink, age 94, of Hartford, Wisconsin (formerly of Rubicon and Horicon) passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at The Gardens in Hartford.
Quirin was born on June 7, 1923 at his home in Rubicon to Quirin and Anna (Nee Roethle) Klink Sr. He was united in marriage to Ruth Hetzel, who preceded him in death. He later married Monica Schaefer.
Quirin served his country in the U.S. Army and received the WWII Veteran Victory Medal. He was a past Grand Knight for the Knight’s of Columbus. He worked for Libby’s in Hartford and West Bend Company in West Bend, prior to his many years as a farmer. Quirin was also a past Trustee and Holy Name Society president at St. John’s Catholic Church in Rubicon. He was a well-respected man, a devout Catholic, honest and hard working. He so loved his family, friends, country and people in his community. He enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers, playing cards, horseshoes, and watching Western movies. He also enjoyed playing golf in later years of retirement but most of all, he loved to tell stories and make people laugh.
Quirin is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Monica; loving children, Sharon (Clarence) Feucht, Florette (Rich) Hoebel, Barb (Fran) Ojstrsek, Margaret Falkenstein, Michael Klink, Louise (Rich) Hansen, Keith Klink, Carmel Wendorff, Maureen (Ben) Beine, Kevin Klink (fiancé Judy Wagner), Quirin (Korie) Klink III, Gregory (Emma) Klink, Annie (Victor) Scarpita and Charles (Lauren) Klink; 28 cherished grandchildren; 30 precious great-grandchildren; his siblings, Father Anthony Klink, Dorothy (Joseph) Becker, Therese Carr, Rose Grinwald and Joan Dais; his brother-in-law Don Schaefer, sisters-in-law, Madeline Schaefer, Mary Klink, and Betty Klink. He is further survived by many other loved relatives and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Ruth (Hetzel) Klink; children Susan in infancy and Allan Klink; sisters Ann Wolf and Marie Klink; brothers Jerome, Joseph, Clarence and Kenneth; sons-in-law Gary Falkenstein and Greg Wendorff; brothers-in-law Dick Schaefer, Bill Schaefer, Joe Schaefer, Tony Hetzel and Don Hetzel and sisters-in-law Sister Marion Hetzel and Jeanette Rettler.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Rubicon with Father Tony Klink and Father David LaPlante officiating. There will be a time of visitation at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Rubicon immediately following the mass.
Monica would like to thank the family and friends who provided comfort and joy in his declining years, staff at the Gardens of Hartford, Seasons Hospice, Dr. Mian, and Fr Tony, Fr David, and Fr. Mike for their care and compassion for Quirin.
