Obituary for Marvin H. Summers

Marvin “Butch” H. Summers age 72 of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Marvin was born May 21, 1945 in San Diego, California to Harvey and Maxine (nee White) Summers. He was united in marriage to Shari Jacobson on July 20, 1968 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mt. Morris, Illinois. He loved his family most of all and spending time together with them, especially with his grandchildren. He enjoyed golfing and working at Washington County Golf Course, flying airplanes, riding ATVs, and doing yard work for his children. He worked for Quad Graphics for many years.

Marvin is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Shari Summers; loving children, Stacia (Troy) Fassbender, Jason “Chip” (Rachel Hesprich)Summers, Elisa Summers, and Steph (Jon) Feutz; cherished grandchildren, Eric and Adam Laubenheimer, Tony (Leslie) Lemminger, Jack and Will Summers, Sam, Jake, Maya, and Ty Rezyk, Kyler and Beckett Thurin, and Maverick and Rowan Feutz. He is further survived by other loved relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara Hanke.

Memorial Services for Marvin will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 6:00p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union Street Hartford, WI 53027) with Pastor Dean Stelow officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00-5:45p.m.
