Obituary for Magdalene Kreuser

Magdalene Graff Kreuser, age 96, of Hartford passed away at Ivy Manor, West Bend surrounded by her loving family on July 19th, 2018. Madge was born on June 18th, 1922 - the daughter of the late Barbara and Hubert Schuerer. She graduated from Messmer High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On January 12th, 1946 she was married to Victor P. Graff at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on June 3rd, 1981. On December 12th, 1987 she married Wilfred Kreuser at St. Peter Catholic Church in Slinger, Wisconsin.
Madge worked at the Harneschfeger Company in Milwaukee. She also worked at Little Switzerland Ski Hill in Slinger. Her favorite occupation was working as a cook for many years with her good friend Gerry Konrath at Slinger High School.
Madge was very active in community organizations. She was an officer of the Ladies Auxiliary for VFW Post 3358 in Slinger, Wisconsin. She was very involved in the Hartford Senior Friends group scheduling the rental of the facility, and later serving as chaplain. Madge also volunteered at the Slinger Community Food Pantry where she enjoyed working with Kak Tennies.
She is survived by her children, Patricia (Kenneth) Beine, Mishicot; Scott (Lynn) Graff, Monterey; Susan Stevens, West Bend; grandchildren: Alicia (Dan) Hotmar, Victoria Graff (special friend Steven Porzky), Samantha Stevens, Nicholas Stevens, Deanna Edmondson (her fiancé Forest Franken); great-grandchildren, Daisee and Lillian Hotmar, Ava Gutzdorf, Willow and Violet Edmondson. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, Joyce Roll, Bernice Hahn, Norma Puls, Steve Kreuser, John Kreuser and their children; special friends: Sandy Stuettgen, Jan James, Mary Beder, Cris and Holly Roy, her best friend Joyce Wenzel, and her grand dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Victor, an infant son Richard, her second husband Wilfred, and her brothers and sisters-in-law.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter Catholic Church, 200 E. Washington St., Slinger, on Monday, July 23, at 5:00 PM with Very Reverend Fr. Richard Stoffel presiding. Visitation from 3:00 PM - 4:45 PM. Burial in the Church Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Schneider, Peliska, Geiger, and NP Marsha for their excellent medical care. Also, Avada Hearing Care Center in Hartford. A special thank you to Samantha Stevens for her support, dedication, and love in caring for her Grandmother. An additional thank you to the entire Ivy Manor staff for their tender love and care in Madge’s final days, especially Emily Schultz and Tina; Serenity Hospice for their excellent care and professionalism, her nurse Connie, and all those who loved and supported Mom throughout the years.
