Obituary for Elaine June Crivello

Heaven’s gates opened wide with rejoicing to receive Elaine June Crivello (nee Schwark) on Saturday, September 16, 2017 where she died at her residence in Horicon.
Elaine was born on June 26, 1928 at her home in Hannibal, WI to Charles and Clara Schwark. Elaine worked 57 straight years and finally retired at age 75. During her career as an executive secretary, she retired after working for the Chief of Police in West Bend, WI. Elaine also broke records at Manpower for both typing and shorthand! She loved being active in her local church, and praying fervently for her family, which she adored. Every Monday she met with her dear friends Pat, Laura, Louise, Jan and Carrie for “Matinee Day” where they visited, snacked and watched a movie (or as Elaine put it, ‘napped’).
Elaine was into all kinds of crafts; everything from needlepoint, quilting, pottery, crocheting, and sewing, and at one time co-owned a craft store in Hartford, WI where she was a longtime resident. She was the first woman in Waukesha County to get a motorcycle license! She was adventurous to the core.
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Becky (Marty) Brath of Horicon, sister, Gloria Cottrell of Oconto Falls; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and many more relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike Crivello; daughter, Lauretta Peterson (Nehs); brothers, George, Kenneth, and Alan Schwark; sister, Hetty Renn; grandchildren Jonathon Mike Gundrum and infant Tyler Peterson; and great-granddaughter infant Poppy Joy Borkenhagen.
Special love and overwhelming adoration for her caretaker, Gina Lee and the Hillside Home Hospice staff; Elaine’s hospice nurses Denise, Ellen, and Kathy; Jeanette and all the wonderful CNAs. You made the transition so special. To my daughter Emily Borkenhagen and family, who stayed with me to keep vigil, watching, praying, and singing, I owe strength, courage, and LOTS of love. Thank you!
Funeral Services for Elaine will be held at Christian Life Fellowship, (124 S. Clark Street, Mayville) on Friday, September 22, at 4:00 PM with the Rev. David Koch officiating. Friends and relatives may call on the family at the church on Friday from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
