Obituary for Bernita Mae Leach


Bernita Mae Leach (nee Blank) age 96 of Hartford, Wisconsin found eternal rest on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Waterford of Hartford.

Bernita was born on April 13, 1921 in Cambria, WI to Albert and Mabel (nee Curtis) Blank. She was united in marriage to Clyde R. Leach on September 15, 1948 at the First United Methodist Church in Hartford. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She also enjoyed teaching Sunday school at First United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women.

Bernita is survived by her loving sons, David Leach of Crivitz and Tom Leach of Hartford and dear nieces and nephews, Jane Hoffmann, Pat Korth, June Becker, Barb Dettman, and Mike Riley. She is further survived by other loved relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Ray and Emma (nee Warden) Leach; beloved husband of 69 years, Clyde R. Leach; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Leach; and her sister, Minerva (Gordon) Riley.

Funeral Services for Bernita will be held Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 1:00p.m.at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union Street. Family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. Noon until the 1:00p.m. service.

Interment will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
