About us

My name is Steve Shimon I am a State of Wisconsin licensed funeral director and the owner of Shimon Funeral Home together with my loving and supportive wife Linda, and our three sons Zak Matt and Mike.

Background

I am a third generation funeral director, beginning with my grandfather. My father followed him in operating a funeral home in Milwaukee for several years. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire, I entered the Milwaukee Area Technical College enrolling in their funeral service program. Upon graduation in 1983, I worked for two funeral homes gaining valuable experience in all areas of funeral service. I have worked as a funeral director in Hartford since 1988.

With much encouragement, we opened the Shimon Funeral Home on February 13, 1998. Since then the people of this community and surrounding areas have opened their arms and hearts to us. We can never express to you our thankfulness for your faith and confidence in our work and us.

We are proud to announce that 2 of our sons will be joining us in the business, as we continue our efforts to serve Hartford and its neighboring communities with the best service available. Matt and Mike are in school and in the process of becoming licensed, which will be in 2009 & 2010 respectively.
