Wilhelm H Wendorf

Wilhelm "Willie" H. Wendorf, age 79, of Hartford, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, June 4, 2012 at the Gardens in Hartford, following a lingering illness.

Willie was born December 2, 1932 to Frank and Irene (Petch) Wendorf in the Town of Lebanon. He was united in marriage to Virginia Hundt on September 26, 1959 at St. John's in Rubicon.

Willie worked for Metal Craft in Mayville for over 45 years, and was a volunteer for the Town of Lebanon fire department for over 50 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Willie was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Hartford VFW Post 8834, and the Catholic Knights.

Willie is survived by his wife Virginia of 52 years; his children Ronald (Connie) Wendorf of Hartford and Roxanne (Thomas) Ksioszk of Jackson; his granddaughters Ashley, Kayla, Amanda and Abby. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Willie is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Norbert Wendorf and his in-laws Gilbert (Marie) Krueger and Walter (Victoria) Manke.

A funeral service for Willie will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, with Pastor Joshua Kesting officiating The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery in Rubicon.
