Joseph T. Staudt
Joseph Thomas Staudt, age 90, of Neosho, WI passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Angel’s Grace Hospice.
Joe was born on September 16, 1923 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Katherine (nee Rupert) and George Staudt. He married Kathleen Griesmer on October 3, 1953 at St. James Catholic Church in Lannon, Wisconsin.
Joe served in the army overseas during WWII and went on to work for the International Harvester for over 30 years. He lived in Milwaukee until his 40’s and upon relocating, became a very active member at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Neosho. In his retirement, Joe really enjoyed working on his farm.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Kathleen; his caring children, Kent Gregory, Jay Staudt and Michele (Rich) Joseph; cherished grandchildren, Brent, Ryan, Stacy, Joe, Kelsey, Elle, Jacob, Jeremy (Chrisy), and Nicholas; dearest great grandchildren, Chloe, Emma, Eli; special nephew, George Staudt. Joe is further survived by many other dear relatives and friends.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Katherine and George; his step-siblings, George, Chris, and Theresa, and daughter-in-law, Christine Staudt.
Mass of Christian Burial for Joe will be held at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church (148 W Lehman Street Neosho, WI 53059) Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Father John Schmitz officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday at church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of mass. Inurnment will take place at St. Bartholomew Cemetery, Rubicon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Matthew’s Catholic Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association are deeply appreciated.
